Hey Carlos,
Didn't you have any problems with this material when the fly is wet? In my experience these synthetics rolls over the hook when tied both on the up and down side of the hook body.

Hey Carlos,

These illustrations make the knot tieing easy for a beginner like me. Thank you for a good job!
Rod,
Great to hear! I know Vimeo has been fooling around with their embedding and Flash/HTML5 and whatnot, so they might have changed something. Their service has started working on smartphones, so now you can also browse the GFF video site from your iPhone or Android phone. Sweet!

Hi Martin
Problem solved! As you suggested it was linked to Flash player. I've now updated it from Adobe and the Videos work again!
Many thanks for your help!

I use Apple Safari for my browser. What is puzzling is that the Vimeo stuff loaded fine until last week!
I'll see if I can update flash.

Rod
Rod,
If it's the videos from Vimeo that cause trouble it might because of a Flash/HTML5 problem. What browser and machine are you using to browse them? iPad's and iPhones can have problems with Flash video.
We use a standard way of embedding the videos, but I will check whether I can do something about it.
Martin
Is there any store with materials for fly tying in Bulgaria?
Thank you in advance!
Hi Martin
Having checked back it seems that its the videos which I can't open, the Youtube stuff seems fine!
Thanks Martin
It could be my Broadband Connection-I'll keep trying!!

Rod
Rod,
The video seems to work without problems. I have no immediate problems seeing it. If you keep on seeing these errors, could you please contact me directly and I will see if I can find out what the problem is.
Martin
This video (and several others) won't load -is there still a problem?
Rod,
The video works perfectly here. I don't know what the problem is, but it's most likely in your end.
Martin
This is one of several videos which used to open but won't now!
Is it my computer or yours?!
I tie tube flies for warm water species such as bass and bluegill.I have used your tube fly articles as my number 1 resource ever since they have been published. In fact,globalflyfisher.com is a most valuable bookmark for me.
This is remarkably similar to Polly Rosborough's Casual Dress Nymph, tied with Muskrat.
Geoff,
You can pluck the hens and roosters, and yes, the feathers will grow out again.
This method is not uncommon in certain regions, like in Spain where I have seen plucking of the very expensive Cock de Leon feathers from the roosters. The birds didn't seem to mind much, but they were used to this pretty rough treatment.
Martin
What about just pulling out the feathers you need and letting the Rooster continue to live with a few missing.
Will his feathers grow back?

… I have a small favor to ask.
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
