Hey Ripley, thanks for the note, I will drop you an email :!:
I am comming September 15-16 and it seems will be staying for couple months
it would be great to participate in the GFF summit, but I don't know details of my trip yet :(

Here is some flies I tied (not to mention all the paterns that I've found here on GFF) These are some modifications of all the great flies that can be found here

What do you think - should I try them or leave them at home

Hello,

I read testimonials about ZipCast on the Fly Fisherman Bulletin Board and ordered a bottle. I was so impressed that I became a dealer of ZipCast and now offer ZipCast to the International market. I usually refrain from self promotion, but since the gentleman from the UK asked how he can get ZipCast I felt compelled to respond. If you wish to know how to place an International order drop me an email and put ZipCast in the subject line.

Jerry

ah yes

chris is a great guy

i heard he is selling up???
that was a while ago, and i didn't hear it agin so hopefully its not true

If somebody wants to join my long journey from Frankfurt / Main, please contact me.
It's no problem to pick you up on the towns along my way (Kassel, Hannover, Hamburg, Flensburg, etc.)

finde ich gut, Kinder & Familie gehen vor - aber dann nächstes Jahr, da gibt es dann keine Alternative und Du weist, an wenn Du Dich dranhängen kannst
Wünsch was und tight lines

Hallo Florian!

Nun bin ich also anderweitig ausgebucht.
Schade ... ich wäre gerne dabei gewesen!

Nochmals danke!!

Oh, sorry, I have to translate. FTC is the Federal Trade Commission. They are the best to handle fraud--they turn it over to the Secret Service.

Hi Mike
Many Thanks for your offer of help. Dean Lamont, the guide in question, only sent through a copy of Wanda's e-mail which translates to a 'yahoo' account. I'll send you that through together with Dean's details and request that he copies the original to you and also refers it to the FTC - Federal authorities (?) - as you've suggested.

Although several of our Club members - Sportfishing Club of the British Isles - have fished the Outer Banks in the winter for the BFT this will be the first trip of any of us to the shallow water, sight fishery.

But whilst, on the one hand the Internet, and search engines offer unrivaled opportunities to make contact with such guides it's galling that criminals attempt to also exploit the potential 'opportunities'.

I'm sure Dean and the other guides will be most appreciative of your assistance.
Many Thanks
Dave

Just stumbled on your article. I am an avid sea trout fisher in Orkney and can't believe how similar most things are!! Our average size is smaller - about 1.5 lb but you have larger streams which has a genetic bearing on fish size.Very interested to hear of your night fishing - traditionally this is practically unheard of in Orkney. Therefore, I must give it a shot! Although during June, July and August I concentrate my efforts on the excellent loch fishing, I have caught sea trout in the sea during all these months but not consistently.Probably making the mistake of fishing the same spots I frequent in Spring and not seeking out deeper, cooler water. Anyway, must go - so glad I discovered your article. Tight lines!!

I fished Riverbend Saturday and did much as you did. Lots of those scrappy sunfish with the big mouths and a bunch of small Smallmouth bass. I did have a two pounder on for one jump and a much bigger fish rolled at a popper but didn't care to eat it. I have never seen the river this low. I went out to the Shenandoah near Berryville on Sunday to take a look and there are sand and gravel bars where they have never been before. Lots of big carp as well.

Mike,

I hope the pattern will make your day. I have fished in Wanganui 10 years ago...phew!
Let us know if you catch any, and upload some pictures from N.Z and your coming fishing trips in the gallery. It would be great to see a New Zealand trout hooked on foamy wasp...or just some pics from Wanganui and Tongariro.

Kasper Mühlbach

... and there were people fishing there. I told them to do a web search for Turkey Run and flyfish and they could find my article.

For those of us who are curious about the fishing, I caught a ton of redbreasted sunfish and some of the smaller smallmouth. I lost one big fish that I think was a catfish.

The water is the lowest I have seen it and very wadeable, which is a good change after the floods earlier this year.

Hi Panama Jack

This email does have some of the signatures of a Nigerian 419 scam (my poor departed brother KING ABU JAMAL left with a total sum of ONE BAZILLION DOLLARS hidden in a bank account in the heart of old Tucson.)

If you can send me the original email, I should be able to tell for sure. I need the headers for some email forensics. At a very minimum, the guides should report the scammers to the FTC.

If you need anything, send me a private message and I should be able to give you better contact information

Cheers
--Mike

A relaxing way to start the day, Martin! Cool music too if a bit frantic so early in the day. Wise words about fishing being the cure for the head of steam we sometimes find ourselves coping with! I try to explain to my non-fishing friends that angling is as good a meditation technique as yoga! Fishing isn't always about catching fish!

Thanks Anselmo !
I managed to get a copy through Whitetail (Chris Helm)
Strangely enough, our local Post Office can't do International Money Orders?

Great DVD though!

Thanks

I've never used a dropper rig before. We're not allowed to use a rig like that here, single barbless hooks in all our rivers and streams in this province. I have no dought that the rig would work very well with these patterns though, too bad I'll never get to use it......

Hello Kasper, I am on the other side of the world to you but I sure could of used one of these flys last week, I was fishing the Wanganui river in the central North Island of New Zealand and there were heaps of bees buzzing around even though it is the middle of winter!
Thank you very much for the pattern, I will try it out sometime this spring.
All the best.
Mike

Hi guys!

I am in need of a ride from and to Slagelse, so If any of you are coming from Copenhagen, or other parts of sjælland east of Slagelse, i'll be happy to tip in on the gas and bridge toll.

Thanks!

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.
